5th Food Group is proud to announce two spectacular additions to the Foodie team! David Fischer and Greg Tickle join us from lengthy and successful careers in the specialty food industry. Both have made significant contributions in their short time here and we look forward to bringing an even broader, more diversified skill set to our clients in 2017 and beyond.
David joined us in October from the renowned Moonstruck Chocolate in Portland, Oregon, where he served as the Director of e-Commerce. Last spring, our team had the opportunity to hear David deliver a memorable segment on Amazon at an industry conference and when we reconnected in the fall, we jumped at the chance to bring him aboard. With over twenty years of e-Commerce experience, David’s holistic grasp of specialty food marketing is extensive. From the technical side of paid and organic search, to selling on Amazon and other alternative marketplaces, to conceptual strategies and out-of-the-box thinking, David has helped transform online businesses his entire career.
Greg joined us in January bringing twelve years of e-Commerce and digital marketing experience with him. He’s been part of the specialty food industry for over a decade, developing and honing his skills as the e-Commerce Manager at the prolific Lake Champlain Chocolates in Burlington, VT. During his tenure there, Greg led the direct- to-consumer efforts both on and offline, and his leadership consistently resulted in exceeding company goals of conversions rates and customer engagement. Greg’s expertise in aligning the details of e-Commerce and digital marketing best practice with organizational goals and strategies will be an asset to all of our clients.
Greg and David have both taken on the role of Client Marketing Director or “CMD”. They join Foodie veterans and industry leaders, Sarah Phillips and Carol Wisley, as they become the key point of contact between our clients and the rest of the 5th Food Group team. While each client has one primary CMD, they each represent a continuous collaborative effort between the client team, Kurt Officer – our director of e-Commerce, our arsenal of marketing specialists and our extensive list of relationships and collaborators within the industry. Never before has 5th Food Group had more seasoned specialty food professionals, each with their own unique skills. This is an exciting time for us as a company and hopefully for our clients as the dynamic of this incredible team comes together.
