Tony Cox

Tony honed his food marketing skills as Mail Order Manager at Omaha Steaks International before co-founding a full-service catalog agency in 1988 in the Boston area, which he ran for ten years. In 1997, Tony founded 5th Food Group. Today, the company is the leading team of direct marketing experts working exclusively in the specialty-food Internet and catalog industry. Tony is a frequent speaker at direct marketing conferences and specialty-food shows throughout the U.S.; his free industry updates are a popular source of sought-after insight for specialty food marketers.

Sarah Phillips

Client Marketing Director
Since July 2005, Sarah has been a Client Marketing Director at 5th Food Group: analyzing, planning and implementing numerous online and catalog marketing initiatives. An expert in print and Internet marketing strategies, Sarah has an intuitive understanding of how data and information technology can bring a competitive edge to tried and true techniques. A graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Information Systems, Sarah worked as Internet Marketing Specialist with Hale Indian River Groves in Wabasso, FL, developing cutting edge techniques in Paid Search, Affiliate Marketing and Email Marketing.

Carol Wisely

Client Marketing Director
Carol has been a Client Marketing Director at 5th Food Group since May 2006. A master of print and web sales, Carol develops a marketing plan to grow your business in a multi-channel environment. Her industry expertise ensures your plan is implemented, monitored and analyzed for maximum success. Previously, Carol spent six years at Harrington’s of Vermont in Richmond, VT as Marketing Director; responsible for all aspects of marketing the line of smoked hams and fine foods that this hundred-plus year old smokehouse is famous for. She joined Harrington’s after a fourteen-year career in product development in the toy industry, working primarily for Hasbro on the Milton Bradley and Parker Bros. brands.

Kurt Officer

Director of Client Services
Kurt is our Director of Client Services and joined the 5th Food Group team in 2014. He joins us after 15+ years with Figi’s, a large direct marketer of cheese, sausage, and other food gifts, where he was Senior Manager of E-Commerce. Kurt’s expertise is driving incremental holiday sales, and he helps clients with email marketing, forecasting, analytics, search engine marketing, website usability, and platform transitions. Kurt believes in having a strong handle on Analytics and letting the numbers tell you what you should do next.

Greg Tickle

Client Marketing Director
Greg joined us in January of 2017 as a Client Marketing Director, bringing 12+ years of eCommerce and digital marketing experience to this role. His experience includes 10 years at Lake Champlain Chocolates as the eCommerce Manager responsible for leading the direct to consumer division. Greg’s expertise is aligning the details of eCommerce and digital marketing best practice with organizational goals and strategies. Most recently he was the Digital Marketing Manager at VEIC, an energy efficiency organization. He was responsible for digital marketing strategy, advertising and website optimization. Experienced as both a provider and a recipient of consulting services, Greg believes in the powerful impact of collaborative relationships.

David Fischer

Client Marketing Director
David joined us in October of 2016 as a Client Marketing Director, bringing over 20 years of eCommerce experience to this role. His passion for eCommerce comes from his love of retailing and knack for technology. His experience includes seven years at Moonstruck Chocolate, a renowned gourmet chocolatier. He’s also lead eCommerce efforts at Nautilus/Bowflex, Made In Oregon, and PayLess Drug Stores. His focus on email marketing, website optimization, PPC/SEO, and selling on Amazon has helped transform the online business for these retailers.
